scenes from seattle

I’m just back from four days spent in Seattle (including this past weekend) with one of my very best friends, Megan.

Our plans for the weekend were as follows: catch up, wine, amazing food, shop, coffee, cake, repeat. We pretty much achieved our goal and then some.

Here are a few photos from the trip {and yes, the sun shone warmly for us every single day}. I’ll report more on the food and specifically the amazingness that is Sitka and Spruce another day. Just…wow.

Lovely photographs – I’ve always wanted to visit Seattle and the famous Pike Place market. The produce looks so amazing! Did you bring anything interesting back with you?

I didn’t buy much stuff due to carry on restrictions. Megan, however, bought all sorts of lovely oils, vinegars, teas, herbs, etc. I did buy a cute skirt. Does that count?

Lovely lovely lovely photos. I assume you had your new camera with you? What did you end up with?

Kate, I love you for saying that! I still don’t have a new camera. The purchasing process went a bit…wonky. So I’m looking for a second hand one at the moment. Canon Rebel is still first choice.

“The bluest skies you’ve ever seen are in Seattle…”

*sigh* Looks so good – home. I miss Seattle so much. Pike’s Place Market. I started going there with my mother when I was only about 5 years old…

I have been to Seattle 2x’s and Pike Place market was a highlight both times. Seeing all the variety of FRESH seafood, flowers, fruits and vegtables is a photographers and foodies DREAM, as you know doubt found out. Did you hit a Starbucks at all, or at least the original one near Pike Place market? More of a touristy thing anyway. Nice pics!

    Angharad Reply:

Thanks Joel! I didn’t hit any Starbucks – saw the original but it’s not really my cup of tea (although I loved all the live music outside!). We did drink some phenomenal coffee though.
