the {fine} art of british food

Aren’t these fine art prints from Joël Penkman fun? The collection features 9 small paintings that playfully illustrate some of Britain’s tasty treats. So many of these were childhood favourites of mine – such a trip down memory lane.

I could go for a pork pie right now…

These are beautiful! Strangely, I miss the Cornish wafers and cheese more than anything…although seeing the sticks of rock makes me feel about 12…:)

So cute! I think my favorite is the teacup with the Tips bag. No, maybe it’s the water crackers and cheese. Those are two of my favorite English rituals! :)

Just moved to London from the US – I want to try out a few restaurants but a bit unsure where to go. Currently in the City, do you have any suggestions for vegan and thai places? Please email me any of your preferences, front the looks of your recipes, you have great taste!

Hi Kim, I’m afraid I can’t help you out with Thai or vegan suggestions but hopefully another reader might be able to! I grew up in Reading and have never lived in London so whilst I’ve visited a lot I can’t really give you a local’s perspective. Thanks!
