is this the minnesota state fair? i just read about it on a friend’s food blog. regardless, it looks fantastic! almost out of the movie. now THIS would certainly bring me to the midwest… i think the ice cream creation did it. or maybe that swingy ride. amazing!

It is the Minnesota State Fair, yes! That was sweetcorn ice cream with warm blueberry sauce and it definitely did the trick!

The Great MN Get Together is the best! Love your pics, did you try the MinneApple Pie? This yr was the first time I had hot coffee there to warm me up, brrr!

I didn’t get to try the MinneApple Pie and I so wanted to! We walked past the booth and I told myself I’d come back (I was in the middle of Australian Battered Potaotes) but it never happened…sad! Everything else was so good though :)

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME photos!!!!!! I had many of the same foods and must recreate the sweet corn ice cream at home, lol. I had the Minneapple pie…twice and it was delish with the cinnamon ice cream /grin. We were going to go again today but well…I’ve had enough gluttony for one year….a return trip can wait until 2012 :).

That’s how I feel, Jen. Was disappointed to miss the MinneApple Pie but well…my cholesterol levels are probably happier that I stayed home for the second day :) The sweetcorn ice cream was ridiculous no? I inhaled it!

I love State Fairs and yours looked perfectly fantastic! Summer Fairs are the one time of year I really let my guard down and eat whatever horribly delicious food catches my fancy. I don’t even think about how unhealthy the food is! I was at a huge music festival yesterday and also turned on my “State Fair eyes” when it came to the food I ate – can we say enormous brick of deep fried curly fries? My all time favorite fair food!
