blended
This beauty arrived yesterday. I am so effing excited I could wee myself. I’ll try and control it.
Want to hear a super sad story of what happened to my last blender? The blender that was a present from my mom-in-law? One fateful day last summer, hot as balls, Dan and I decided that what we wanted, needed and had to have above all was a homemade chocolate milkshake.
So, we hopped on our bikes and rode to the store especially to pick up ice cream and all the trimmings. Yum. We pedaled back as fast as our little (ok, his are giant) limbs would carry us and got to work in our teeny kitchen.
Just as the milkshake was fully blended and looking all chocolatey and awesome, we pick up the jug to pour and – whoomp! – the bottom breaks and falls out. Chocolate milkshake all over the kitchen floor.
To this day, I do not know if we were more sad about the fate of the blender or the fate of our chocolate milkshakes but the memory still makes me shudder.
So, yes it took me a year to buy another one and no I don’t really know anything about making a good smoothie.
That’s where you come in! What are the best/most important/life changing things I need for a smoothie?

my MAGIC ratio is:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 – 1 cup frozen fruit
1/2 banana
1 T protein powder
if you have to, you can use 1 cup milk but then you DEF need 1 cup frozen fruit to get it nice n' frothy.
luscious and thick. promise.

Don't get scared by this smoothie like I originally was because I swear it is delish & makes for a good morning meal & is really good for you.
3/4 cup water
1/2 head of chopped romaine lettuce
1 1/2 large stalk celery
1 chopped & cored aplle
1/2 banana
half a handful cilantro & parsley
a squeeze of lemon
Make sure to blend the water & lettuce first for a while, then add the celery apple & herbs, and finally the lemon & banana
